The New Colony Six were an American rock band of the 1960s, although the group also specialised in lyrically romantic pop songs. The group was formed in 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. Their biggest local hit was 'I Confess', taken from their first album 'Breakthrough' (1966). After the success of 'I Confess', they had more minor hits like 'Love You So Much' (1968), 'I Will Always Think About You' (1968) and 'Things I'd Like To Say' (1969). There had been quite a lot of changes in the lineup of The New Colony Six. Graffia is the only original member of the current group (the group still performs), but original members have made special guest appearances. Bassist Les Kummel, who had taken over the place of the original bass player Wally Kemp in 1967, died in a car accident on 18 December 1978.
