In the changeover from 1999 to 2000, a naked millennium celebration spawned an irrepressible new band. Mixing funk, ska, blues and rock, with elements of cabaret and circus, The NEO is a full-power, soul-fuel musical experience. And the hard working band has been touring ever since. In 2008 The NEO gave four super-charged performances at the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland and in 2007 The NEO set the stage alight at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Byron Bay. Across Australia they are mobilizing audiences to the dance floor. The six piece band returned to East Coast Blues and Roots in 2010. Over the past decade they have continued creating, in 2012 they released their third album The Near Earth Objects along with an East Coast Tour of Australia, and in 2022 they released their fourth album Fear of the Unknown.
