Sweaty, tight, raw, loud and psychedelic. That's what The Naked Sweat Drips stand for. This six-headed rock orchestra brings you loud guitar riffs, a screaming Hammond organ, driving drums, combined with atmospheric vocals and mind-blowing verses. Experimental melodies and rhythm changes aren’t fought shy of to strike every bystander in the central nervous system. By the time they’re done, the six musicians are soaked, leaving the audience in steamy ecstasy. Just try to keep cool with that… While travelling the Dutch highways and byways, the band already managed to raise quite a few eyebrows. In 2012, their musical shows led to recognition as ‘the best musical act in North-Brabant’ in the Dutch talent competition Kunstbende and in 2013, they were awarded the prestigious pop prize De Roos van Nijmegen. Both the public and the professional jury unanimously fell for the band’s live performance. Meanwhile, the audience and stages continue to grow and the band grasps every opportunity to get their music out there. The Naked Sweat Drips made use of the past winter to record their debut EP, on which you can hear a thirty minute long selection of their rapidly expanding repertoire. Being recorded live in Simon Snel’s studio Barbarossa (Nijmegen), this EP manages to catch the raw energy and compact sound that is also felt during the band’s live shows.
