The Naked Brothers Band was the name of a pop group of music-playing children for a Nickelodeon production, which transcended fiction and was actually a real band that has more recently performed as Nat & Alex. Brothers Nat and Alex Wolff lead a six-member band and are the real-life offspring of entertainers behind two popular television shows. Polly Draper was the producer of the TV series Thirtysomething and also starred as "Ellyn Warren" while Michael Wolff was musical director for The Arsenio Hall Show from 1989-1994 and is also a jazz pianist. Draper served as also executive producer/writer/director/creator of the 'Naked Brothers Band' project, and Wolff was the Co-Executive Producer/Music Producer of the related film. The name of the group comes from a family joke. Like previous 'studio' based groups, many session musicians have contributed to their recordings. The band has also included: *Thomas Batuello *Allie DiMeco *Qaasim Middleton *David Levi Albie Hecht, the other executive producer of the series, said he thought the brothers would be big after he saw the audience's enthusiastic reaction to the film at the Hamptons International Film Festival. "They're just real: real brothers, real friends; it's all the stuff kids do when they're hanging out on the playground," Mr. Hecht said. "The idea that you're watching a documentary is so much fun.
