The band that became the Muphets was formed in SW Ohio in late 1962 under the name The Marauders—they appeared on the Prism record label, Sound Spectrum Label, & were signed briefly to Kama Sutra Records in 1965. They were the players on the bandtrack (rhythm section) of the B side of “Little Bit O Soul,” & were the players / singers on both tracks of the Counterpart Records release of “My Money / Cold Winds.” Three of four demos that were recorded by the Muphets at Allegro Studios in late 1965 were released on Norton Records in early 2009.
