1) The Moth is a sludge metal/stoner metal three-piece from Hamburg, Germany that formed in 2012. They released their debut, 'They Fall', in mid-2013 through This Charming Man Records. With a style somewhat like Baroness, Mastodon, and Kylesa, they're influenced by riff-ready rock n' roll as well as aggressive metal. More info is here. 2) The Moth is the name of a media collective group based in New York, New York. Dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling, poet and novelist George Dawes Green founded it in 1997. He has stated that he wanted to recreate the feeling of sultry summer evenings in his native Georgia, when moths were attracted to the light on the porch as he and his friends gathered to spin yarns.
