The Moores are an Alternative Rock band from Richmond, VA. Formed in 2008, Preston Cochran (Vocals, Bass, Keys) , Scottie Prudhoe (Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals) , and Carl White (Drums, Cello) chose a name that would not create an association with any specific style of music. The band's sound ranges from 60s Pop, to Experimental Rock utilizing vocal harmonies, distortion, and vintage instruments. The band's two albums Loneliness and Sorrow and None Too Ready were recorded by the band, and mixed by Al Weatherhead of Sound of Music Studios in Richmond.
