about

Stuttgart, 1987: The MOOD a.k.a. was formed as one of the first ska bands in Germany. Growing naturally from the underground, they are getting one of the cornerstones of rocksteady music in Germany , not following the big reggae hype, but always remembering their rebellious roots (the way reggae should be anyway). Their singer, guitarist and writer DREADSKIN is composing reggae riddims for a lot of singers in the dancehall scene to give them a little soul medicine in times of plastic emotions. The MOOD a.k.a's music is reggae/soul music for real people, keeping the working class vibe as their own cultural background. In 2011 the Album "Soul Grown" will be released on Brixton Records. The Mood are: Josi “Dreadskin” Höger (guitar, vocals) Li Wunsch (bass, vocals) Sebastian “Thunder” Sander (guitar) Leo Rolle (sax) Felix van Gunsteren (drums) William Omar (percussions) www.myspace.com/themood69 www.facebook.com/themood.aka http://themoodaka.posterous.com http://flavors.me/themoodaka User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
