The Mo-Shuns was a 1960's band in which I was the lead guitarist. We had a good run as a cover band and only 2 original songs on a 20th Century Fox Label, which did not go very far. But We started playing gigs all over Long Island NY where myself (John)and the band members , Carl, George and John O, grew up. We backed up the Shangi Las on a couple of occasions, Plus many other big groups at that time. We also played in Greenwich Villiage in Manhattan for a couple of years,Trudy Hellers and Aurthurs. We played at the Metropol, once with a group called the "Cyrkle" ( Red rubber Ball song), and out at the Barge where The Young Rascals played. We originally played in lounges in bowling alleys on Long Island and Bars. We became very popular with the locals in Islip Long Island.. The band broke up a few years later and I then played with another bunch of very talented musicians for another couple of years. We had a lot of changes with musicians at that time ,kept changing guys and I finally let go after a couple of years and stopped playing.
