The Mile Run was formed in the fall of 2009 in a small Maine town, by Nicholas Phair and Aaron Keith. Influenced by artists ranging from Simon and Garfunkel to Fugazi to Death Cab to Neurosis, their sound has been tagged as "hard to define" Starting in early 2010, Nick and Aaron hit the road to play a handful of acoustic performances throughout New England. Although they were received well, they wanted something more. The intensity level of their acoustic performances was high, but they felt that forming a live band would fulfill their vision. Enter Darren Ross (From Plants To Animals),guitarist, and Joe Oxley (Picasquared), drums. With Aaron putting down the guitar to fill the empty position of bassist, and Nick maintaining his guitarist duties, you are now introduced to the second incarnation of The Mile Run.
