The Metropolitan Police Male Voice Choir is an internationally famous group of singers, comprising of serving and retired officers of all ranks and civilian staff with a full complement of approximately 30 members. They perform concerts for many charities, primarily in London, but also in the provinces and have travelled to Holland, Germany and Bavaria in recent years, for major combined concerts. The repertoire includes a wide range of music, from The Beatles to Wagner, from Elvis to Spirituals - Christmas is also a very popular time of year for the choir. Meanwhile well known composers have commissioned arrangements and other works for the choir. The Metropolitan Police Service Male Voice Choir have taken part in many charity events over the years, raising lots of money in the process, with last year's annual concert raising money for the Evelina London Children's Hospital. To date, contribution to charity is in excess of £750,000. The Metropolitan Police Service Male Voice Choir The choir have performed in literally all the major churches and halls in London, including St.Pauls Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, St Martins-in-the-Field, All Souls, plus the Royal Albert Hall, Fairfield Halls Croydon, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Guildhall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican. When required, the choir lead the singing and perform anthem at funerals for deceased Police officers and were very honoured to lead in the memorial service for the Kings Cross fi
