There is more than one artist with this name: 1) The Messenger was a post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Long Beach/Los Angeles, California, United States formed in 2006. The Messenger, only a few months into the band with only a handful of songs and shows played, they had already inked a Record Deal with the Los Angeles based hard-working independent label, Mediaskare Records. Label Owner Baron Bodnar discovered the band through demos on Myspace and immediately saw potential in the young group whose average age was only 18. With Mediaskare's support, the band matured quickly when they were instructed to write an entire album's worth of material in only five weeks. Shortly after the writing process, the band went into the landmark Undercity Studios in Hollywood to record their debut album, "Let's Get Dangerous!" with producer Stephan Hawkes. Since the release of the record, the band has done six national tours alongside bands such as Catherine, Destroy The Runner, Memphis May Fire, Showbread, and For Today.
