The Mercurial is a band from Long Island, NY. Started in 2004 the band quickly started to make a name for themselves in the Long Island scene and since has shared the stage with bands such as Cky, Cobra Starship, Andrew W.K. (as of Aug 31st, 2008) and with Fall Out Boy, Underoath, Coheed and Cambria, Panic at the Disco, and other big names at festivals such as Bamboozle '06 and Warped Your '07. In late 2007/early 2008 Scott joined the group bringing with him a very nice touch and personality that instantly clicked and bonded with the band, the music, and the fans. In Spring of 2008, after a much much anticipated wait and months and months of telling fans "Soon!" and "We're working on it!", The Mercurial released their self-titled debut full-length. Since their unfortunate break-up in March of '09, The Mercurial's members have parted ways to continue on to new projects, some of which have already been revealed, and are listed below the roster. # Why This Band Warrants Your Attention This Long Island outfit emerged during a fertile period for alternative music, developing their craft through countless live performances alongside established acts like Fall Out Boy and Coheed and Cambria. What distinguishes them is their ability to navigate the evolving landscape of post-2000s rock without losing a distinctive voice. The addition of Scott in late 2007 marked a creative turning point, introducing new textural possibilities that deepened the band's sonic identity. Rather than chasing trends, they've built something rooted in genuine musicianship and ensemble chemistry. For listeners curious about how regional scenes cultivate serious musicians, or those exploring the deeper catalog of mid-2000s alternative rock
