The Medders are a four piece rock and roll band living in Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of brothers Cheyenne (vocals, guitar), Carson (electric guitar) and Will (drums) Medders of Resaca, Georgia, and Joshua Stauter (piano) of Syracuse, New York. They currently have two special guests joining them live: Priscilla Jeschke (backing vocals and percussion) and Landon Ihde (bass and backing vocals). They have recorded their first album, entitled The Medders and plan to release it in the summer of 2009. The Medders brothers have been playing rock and roll music together off and on since 1995, when they were young boys. They met Joshua at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 2004. Since then they have toured the eastern United States and have opened for Merle Haggard. In the summer of 2008 they officially became The Medders. They have been compared to The Band, "Warren Zevon meets The Shins", and "Prince playing country". Influences include Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Buddy and Julie Miller, Elton John, Arcade Fire and Wilco.
