The Maynard Brothers Band is a powerful four-piece group centered in The Capital District area of upstate NY. The MBB is comprised of the brother tandem Ervin and Jeff Maynard and brothers-from-another-mother, Harold"Clutch" Reiser and Gary "Zeke" Brajczewski. The twin guitar attack of Erv and Zeke shares the spotlight with Jeff's powerful vocal delivery, and it's all held together by the driving bass and drum combo of Jeff and Clutch. This group of brothers and friends has played together in some form or another since the mid 1970s. Their mutual respect and friendship shows in their energetic, powerful performances. In 2003, The MBB went to Memphis for The International Blues Challenge after capturing first place in the Northeast Blues Society's Colossal Contenders competition. There, they showcased material from their just released second CD, 'The Maynard Brothers Band - Nasty Packages' on the California based record label, PacificSol. Over 30 fans from the Capital District made the trip to Memphis to root them on. They shared Beale Street's The Tap Room stage with rising star Alex Maryol, Norwegian sensation Amund Maarud and Arkansas' fine trio, Jason and The Tablerockers. Although the MBB didn't win the big prize in Memphis, they made a big impression on the fans and many blues music insiders. Other highlights of 2003 included playing The Glens Falls Blues Festival, Centreville, Maryland's Bay Music Festival, The First Annual Lake George Blues Festival and numerous club
