The Matt Dailey Band (MDB) was a Jersey Shore rock group that came together in the fall of 2002 at the Ocean Township High School in Oakhurst, NJ, and came apart in the summer of 2007 in an undisclosed location. The group consisted of Jordan Cohen (lead guitar/vocals), Matt Dailey (percussion/name), Mike Fitzgerald (bass), Adam Lowy (keyboard/vocals), and Justin Muir (rhythm guitar). The MDB played a mix of original tunes and blues-rock covers, as might be expected of any Jersey Shore group worth its salt. While the band had a loyal local following, they rarely ventured outside of Monmouth County, NJ. That said, the MDB played an eclectic mix of gigs during their intermittent five years together, organized two substantial charity concerts in the wake of the Indian Ocean Tsunami of 2004 and Hurricane Katrina of 2005, and can proudly claim Bruce Springsteen as a one-time audience member. The Matt Dailey Band recorded one self-titled album 2004, engineered by Bob Chewy, and cut some tracks with Nate Cohen the following year. The group also recorded a number of its live shows. The Matt Dailey Band's list of gigs includes: -- Ocean Township High School coffeehouses and other shindigs, 2002-2004 -- a handful of bar/bat mitzvahs and office parties (yes.), 2003 -- The Internet Cafe, Red Bank, NJ, 2003-2004 -- a handful of house parties and "Band-B-Qs", 2003-2006 -- a "farewell concert" powered by a generator and performed on a concrete slab in a wooded clearing at Joe Palaia Par
