Born from the industrial mecca of the midlands in england, The Maffa Kings create an awe inspiring, pseudo-southern, rocked-up, dark fusion of soul, reggae, grunge, metal and funk. What started out as a personal project between founding members and guitarists, Craig Johnson and Rich Wosik has turned into three critically acclaimed releases and sold-out, international performances like the Torreveija Rock festival in Spain. After adding the charismatic vocals of Lee Moran, the funky bass grooves of Daz Hollingworth and the post-punk drumming style of Owen Walton, The Maffa Kings were born. The Maffa Kings are now celebrating the release of their new EP, Writing the Wrongs - heavy, stratospheric sounds - emotional and mysterious lyrics - and a radio edited version of their most popular track, Lust to Licks.
