The Machines... were formed by 4 college friends from Pontefract, West Yorkshire in late 2002. They released a demo, a 7" and a 10" split with Shermer as well as touring the UK 3 times before their split in 2006. Ali went on to play guitar in Jupiter Lander and Matiss now plays drums in The 255s.
