The Love Dictators was an eurodance quartet from Montenegro. They formed in May 2007 in the town of Nikšić, Montenegro. When the 17 year old self-proclaimed philosopher Marek O. Danilović started making music in 1996, little did he know of what would become of his career. He experimented with psychedelic and ambient music until forming his first band Odrezak. After two albums and an excessive tour through Yugoslavia, Marek decided that their music was not dancefloor-ready enough and wanted to pursue a different approach on music. He got kicked out by the remaining members in 2002. Two days later, the remaining Odrezak members died in a mysterious and unsolved tour bus crash. Marek was on his own. After changing his name to Mary O.D. and auditioning in many different dance projects as singer (but to no avail), he emigrated to the United Kingdom. But even there, his attempts remained fruitless and he became addicted to drugs and alcohol, doing day jobs in order to survive and spawning various short-lived project without success. In late 2006, he moved to his now-independent home country Montenegro, where he met dance musician and rapper DJ Vibeseeker in a club in Nikšić. DJ Vibeseeker aka Anton Matanović had a reputation for being a womanizer, a playboy and an avid supporter of the Soviet Union. He was also in search of a musical project.
