Artist
The Lockwoods is an attempt to give shape to that lingering unease you know you can't quite shake. Their music is an untamed, unfiltered reaction without an intention; a tangled mesh of post punk and blues, the future, the past and the unrelenting present. The Sydney trio's reverb-laden sound is full of peaks and troughs that roller coaster through brooding atmospherics, tumbling rhythms, choral vocals, sparse and often abrasive guitar with explosive outbursts of raw power. Duncan Stewart (vocals, guitar), Gareth Psaltis (bass) and Mark Smith (drums) met in the early years of high school but only began playing music together in 2007 at the ages of 15 and 16.
