The Local Heroes are a multi-national affair, based in Cumbria (UK), Drogheda (Ireland), London (UK) and Douglas (I.O.M). Rachel and Johnny do the songwriting in bucolic Brampton (Cumbria) and from there the wav files are sent out to the rest of the gang - Grainne who flits twixt London and rural Ireland, and Phil who resolutely resides on the Isle of Man - a step up from his roots on Merseyside. The rest is filled is astutely and skillfully and all Rachel and Johnny's mistakes are repaired and improved upon - at the end they have something irresistibly listenable.
