The project is based in Lviv, Ukraine. It was created in spring, 2000, under the name Tomb Of Litziele. The music of the act, presented on the first demo "Kill The Sun" (February, 2001), was mainly inspired by early Death In June, but later the music became more synth-oriented. The second demo, "Likeness" (September, 2001), integrated the elements of triphop and ambient. The line-up was: Marina "Black Mary" Shcherbakova - guitars, voice; Dmitry "Danner" Khodyko - music, texts, synths, voice. Also, the fully electronic instrumental longplay "World Minds" was produced from May to October, 2001. It is dedicated to the interaction of the modern technologies with the mythological mind, and includes the elements of ambient, IDM and electro-pop. These two materials since November, 2001 are distributed under the name "World Minds". In December, 2001, the band's name had been abridged to The Litz. In February, 2002, "The White Room And The Black" demo had been produced, including covers and original tracks, in minimal/electro-pop style, and illustrating the concepts of "protective", mystically oriented pop music - the ideas that determine the action of the project since then. "Radio Christiania" longplay demo-compilation prepared later the same year, included various demo tracks as well as live recordings and remixes of Current 93 and Rada&Ternovnik tracks. In 2003, two studio singles were recorded: "Saturn Stolen", inspired much by synth-pop; and more ambient "Able To Listen", dedi
