The Liquidator is a popular ska tune released in the United Kingdom by the Harry J. Allstars in the late 1960's. In the UK, the song is famous for being the anthem of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club (commonly known as the "Wolves") having been played regularly at the Wolves' home ground of Molineux since shortly after its release. Fans would chant "THE WOLVES!" during the song, although in the early 90's supporters added extra words that were derogatory towards local rivals West Bromwich Albion FC. As a result, the song is no longer used, as the club is unwilling to be seen as encouraging foul and abusive language. Chelsea FC and, indeed, West Bromwich Albion FC, also lay claim to the tune and have played it pre-match for many years too. West Bromwich Albion FC have now reclaimed The Liquidator having had it banned off them since 2004 due to repeated swearing. The song usually airs at games held at The Hawthorns with an announcement before play urging fans to chant along without swear words or derogatory comments. This request is almost always ignored.
