The Light Parade can refer to two different bands: 1. a Dutch Indie/Alternative band, founded in 2011 2. an Indie band from Texas, USA, founded in 2010 1. The Light Parade (The Netherlands) is an Indie Alternative band from The Hague, formed in 2011. The Light Parade creates a wall of sound, which is characterized by assertive guitars, massive synths and melodic vocals. The Light Parade shows different faces. With dominant synths, interspersed with screaming guitars, The Light Parade developed a sound that is often compared to bands such as Interpol and Bloc Party. Ever since they started writing songs together, the quintet has developed a detached sound with expressive vocals dominated by melodic and sometimes heavyhearted tunes that are paired with massive synths, beats and assertive guitar riffs. By playing a lot, play more and play even more, The Light Parade has become a musical machine that wherever she plays, draws attention to itself. The band is aiming to present their songs to widespread audiences. In May 2012 the band presents their new EP. The Light Parade are: Erik (Vocals) Ronald (Keyboard) Bouke (Guitar) Rob (Bass) Chayenne (Drums) 2. The Light Parade (USA) are the musical partnership of Alex Howard and Kara DuBose. After meeting at college in Abilene, Texas they began singing and writing together in their senior year and the chemistry between them was instant.
