There is more than artist called The Life. 1.) The Life is the project of New York City based singer and producer Curtis Everett Pawley. 2.) The Life was an active part of the Seattle music scene in the pre-Nirvana days, winning the Northwest Area Music Association's "Best New Northwest Band" award in 1987. The band consisted of Jimm McIver (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Tony Bortko (guitar), Casey Allen (bass, backing vocals) and Eric Lichter (drums, percussion). They released their debut album, Alone on Green Monkey Records in 1987, but split up during the recording of their second album.
