Liverpool: The beginning of everywhere, everything and Pete Price. The Latex Lenin Band are made up of three members. Ari Papadopoulos, Lewis J. Baines and Alisdair Reid. Influences include The Beatles, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The La's, The Doors, The Stone Roses and The Kinks. They are in the process of home recordings. The unclean, low fidelity music in the recordings is available for free download on this page. Their name derives from a well know man from back in the USSR, a type of rubber material that forms the most reliable form of contraception and the word 'band'; which is yet to be recognized in relevance to the artist. The Latex Lenin Band formed from the ashes of Floor Monks, a new name comes with a change of style, and a genuinely serious take on things. The Latex Lenin Band are on an indie label by the name of Wipe&Go Records and their recordings are produced from home giving them a unique rough sound. They are currently working on releasing their first official demo EP under the name of Dining Room Demos.
