about

The Last Great Liar was an art-punk band based in Seattle, WA. The members met while living in Arizona, then moved together to Washington in 2000. The lineup changed several times over the years, but the original members were Christiaan Morris (vocals, guitar), Sage Gatzke (bass), and Pat Taylor (drums). Christen Shaw (vocals, guitar) joined the band soon after. Taylor quit the band a few years later and moved back to Arizona, at which point Gatzke switched to drums and Shaw to bass. Morris' brother Andy temporarily played with the band at this time. Eventually the group changed their name to Knives In The Attic and moved back to Arizona. Taylor soon rejoined the band as drummer and they moved once more, back to Seattle. Knives in the Attic disbanded in 2008. As of November, Taylor, Morris, and Gatzke are playing together as Black Houses, while Gatzke, Shaw, and former Mon Frere vocalist Nouella Johnston formed Teens In Heat. Last Great Liar released three recordings: Snowman* (EP), Doppelganger (CD), and Summercamp (EP).
