about

There is more than one group known as The Knights. 1) The Knights were a 1960s band and the brainchild of producer Gary Usher to take advantage of the surf and hot rod music that was popular in the day. Featuring session players The Wrecking Crew including Glen Campbell and Tommy Tedesco on guitars, Leon Russell on keyboards and Hal Blaine on drums whose work can be heard on hundreds of '60s hits. Most the group's repertoire were covers of Beach Boys songs such as "I Get Around," though there were a few original songs, such as "Hot Rod High." They officially only released one album, "Hot Rod High" in 1964. 2) The Knights were also a 1980s rock band based out of Ohio. 3) The Knights are a New York-based orchestra of the 2000s User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
