King of Kings is a Indie Christian music project founded by a man named Brandon Payne. Growing up in Dallas Texas he received his first drum kit at age 12 and began teaching himself by playing along to favorite recordings. In high-school he started jamming with buddies out of garages, doing local shows and school talent shows more just for fun then anything else. Wanting to do solo work he slowly started building a studio working odd jobs saving for mics, guitars and a mixing board also receiving an electric bass guitar whom his father had passed down. At age 20 he really started focusing on learning/mastering these instruments as well as vocals already having extensive knowledge on a drum kit and getting free lessons from musician friends. Finally at age 24 writing/recording for the self titled debut album began which was released 2 years later, the songs have a beach-side 60's psychedelic surf vibe and our about God, love, joy and peace. All tracks were recorded/written/mastered in the small home studio with shows consisting of a four piece band.
