The Juxtaposed Concept is an instrumental rock band with electronic components that began in Berkeley, California in 2005 while the members (Flashflooder (Chris Lim), Toe Jam (TJ Ronacher) and Science Fiction (Brandon Connors) were all in college together. Initially they were a two-piece guitar/synthesizer group with Toe Jam playing most of the guitar and Flashflooder playing the synthesizer as exemplified in their first album, Entire Allusions. They then expanded their musical horizons in their next two releases adding more instrumentation and beats including bass guitar (Science Fiction). The band is currently on hiatus due to the members currently living in different cities; however, each member continues to make music and hopes to record together again in the future.
