The Joy of Nature is a project by LC from the Azores. He plays mostly instrumental acoustic/ambient music, inspired by nature, spirituality and folklore. He used to record under the older name The Joy of Nature and Discipline. At 2006's Summer the 7'' single "The Shepherd's Tea at 7" was released by the American label Little Somebody Records. From 2008 to 2010 The Joy of Nature released the trilogy "The Empty Circle". The first two parts were released by Ahsntern/Steinklang on CD and the last part was released, also on CD, by Rage In Eden. During that time, The Joy of Nature also released a split with novemthree - “Auguries of Innocence/Meandering in Streams of Reflection” -, two rarities collections and "a evasão das fadas" on CDr by Lurker's Realm. On April 1st of 2012 The Joy of Nature finally released "My Work Was Not Yet Done", showing some relevant differences in sound comparing to previous releases. On 2014 The Joy of Nature self-released the EP "Two Leaves Left" and, one year after, the album "A Roda do Tempo" (The Wheel of Time) through the label Cynfeirdd. On 2018 came out the compilations - "Emptiness Is a Long Story - The First 12 Years Revisited" and "Another View of The First 12 Years", with old songs re-recorded and/or remixed and a few outtakes. On 2020 the album - "Until Only The Mountain Remains" - inspired by Taoist poetry and art was released by Dornwald Records.
