The Joy Vegas are a band for the masses. With crashing guitars, kicking beats and soaring choruses, they are a rock n roll band on the edge. They hail from Manchester, London, Norway and Liverpool, where they are now based. The Joy Vegas completed its line up in February 2007, when front man Mats came over from Norway, looking to join a band in Liverpool. He found new friends, and now band mates, Will (guitars), Adam (bass), and Alex (drums). By combining their influences (Sonic Youth, The Stone Roses, Prince, Jane’s Addiction) they found themselves with an armoury of hard hitting killer songs, and set out on the streets of their home town. In April 2007, the band headed into Elevator Studios (home to The Zutons, The Subways and The Coral) to lay down their first batch of tracks. 'Cadillacs & Heart Attacks' , 'Dance Like You' and 'Until The End' were born. The summer has seen the band build a solid following, and a wave of new material is again ready to put to tape.
