The band performed folk/country in Israel between 1976 and 2002, appearing at all the festivals and folk events held there. The band performed at the "Jacob's Ladder" festival for many years, considered to be one of the most important folk festivals in Israel. The band was founded in 1976 by David Deckelbaum, Shay Tochner, David Stacy and David Mencher. They were joined, in 1978, by virtuoso recorder player Elisha Avshalom. In 1981 the band members met Jonathan Miller and Paul Moore and decided to go towards being more professional which led to the resignation of David Mencher. At this point David Stacy returned to Britain to complete his higher education in Archeology which led to the classic lineup of Dr. David Deckelbaum, Shay Tochner, Paul Moore, Jonathan Miller, Elisha Avshalom and David Gould. The band participated in the TV film "Red River Valley" directed by Dan Biron along with several top singers in the same period, leading the band to fame. The band was most associated with country, and specialized in playing Irish, Canadian & American songs and the instrumental virtuosity of its members, especially Jonathan Miller (fiddle, mandolin and clarinet ), Shay Tochner (guitar and harmonica), Elisha Avshalom (flutes and whistles) and the old-time style banjo playing of David Deckelbaum.
