Despite various appreciations of their musical and every-day-life style, the Romanian trio The Jajs has demonstrated that modern metal heads can also bang their skulls on something else than noisy guitar riffs. Brought together by Amifran, the well known French drama club of their hometown, Alex, Bruno and Razvan gave birth, in 2008, to a funk-rock band in the basement of a common friend of theirs. Conveying their fondness for the Hungarian linguistics and culture, hence their band name (that constitutes an interjection often used by Romanians close to the Hungarian borderline as well, "jaj!" expressing surprise and astonishment, similar to the English "oh dear / my God / fuck!"), The Jajs experiment a wide range of topics in their music. Briefly, one could easily describe The Jajs as "the best damn thing that the music of the last half-decade has gave birth to in the 21st century!".
