There are two artists performing as The Izm. 1. The Izm are a 5 piece hard rock band hailing from Myrtle Beach, SC. Through the years the band has seen a couple members come and go, but are finally set to hit the ground stompin' with what they say is the final lineup. When Moore, Weekley, Manigo, Woolley, and Sellers leave the stage, you will find yourself singing their infectious songs to yourself days later. 2. A sound born by the sea on the San Diego shore line and sharpened in the jungles of the LA underground, The Izm set's the EDM standard in eclectic versatility and is considered by many to be the lunatic fringe of dance electronica. His goal is to craft a sonic environment that nurtures human ideals (ism's) while speaking to the primal display of life that exists on the dance floor. He is best known for his works in electro house but has also gained a reputation for merging many styles of EDM into his live sets and has some notoriety in the LA dubstep community. The IZM, aka Edward Rangel II began his musical journey as a heavy metal and punk rock guitarist playing in several local San Diego bands as a teen. He began producing electronic music at the age of 17 inspired by industrial and digital hardcore bands like Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM and ATR. During his time studying multi-track recording in college he gained the attention of the UCSD experimental music community for his early works in composition.
