Artist
There are at least 2 artists named the Invincibles. 1. A falsetto soul/r&b group, comprised of Lester Johnson, Clifton Knight and Dave Richardson, who released a handful of singles in the mid 1960s on the Loma record label. 2. California emcee Murs and Florida punk rock band Whole Wheat Bread. Murs first met the the Jacksonville punk legends on the 2003 Warped Tour. Years later they reconnected through mutual friend Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes. They recorded some songs for Murs' 2008 Warner Bros. release Murs for President. Red tape kept the songs shelved, but Murs and WWB felt there was a definite vibe worth further development. In fall 2009 they proclaimed themselves The Invincibles, and began recording. Their debut EP titled Murs & Whole Wheat Bread are The Invincibles contains 6 songs from that period, and was released on July 5, 2012.
