The Innocent Bystander (officially abbreviated to TiB) is a one-man musical project created by last.fm user Toms115. Genres to describe TiB could fall into several groups. One could instantly label them alternative rock, whilst Toms115 personally prefers it to go without a labelled genre. Typical songs are compiled by a typical trio setup (guitar, bass, drums), along with added synthisized stringed orchestra's and basic keyboard. Songs are varied throughout when it comes to vocals, sometimes including vocals, sometimes completly void of them. Reasons for this being of Toms115's strong belief that a song doesn't always need words to be able to speak for itself. The subtle tones are able to do this themselves. The name The Innocent Bystander, came mainly from the reading of several reports of riot shootings, and killings of completly innocent bystanders. There were several different projet names before Toms115 landing directly on The Innocent Bystander, some noted names were : Another Broken Army, The Paranoia Glitch and Life in Numbers. Toms115 is currently in the process of recording a collection of songs for an EP release, currently with the temporary nickname of "Torn Up Agendas, Torn Up Lives".
