There are at least three different acts called The Immigrants. 1. The Immigrants was a folk trio from California, United States, active in the 1960s. Originally a folk trio of Sven Nilsson, Willy Guerrero and Sonny Guerrero, The Immigrants came to Denmark from California in 1964 and were quickly offered a recording contract with Metronome, where they released four albums between 1965 and 1968. At some point that were joined by drummer Irving Waldorff. In 1968, Sonny had to leave the group due to illness and was replaced by Frank Sveidahl. The group disbanded in 1969 or 1970. Sven Nilsson returned to California where he still writes and records songs. 2. The Immigrants was a rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 3. The Immigrants were a noise punk band from Liverpool, United Kingdom. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
