about

Started in 2012 by lead singer Erica Lane, The Hunting Party is a 6-piece band hailing from all over the NYC area. The tightly-knit group is comprised by Lane, Daniel Burke (drums), Erik Hamilton (banjo/guitar), Michael Schnapp (bass), David Letchinger (keyboards, piano), and Nick Lerangis (guitar/vocals), former guitarist and hit songwriter for dance-pop darlings Walk The Moon. Lane’s vocals, according to LA's The Bluegrass Situation, “reflect and range from the sweeter sounds of Emmylou Harris to the darker side of Marissa Nadler," (Bluegrass Situation, 2013) while the band balances urban folk-rock sounds with a wistful, graceful vision of bygone Americana. The Hunting Party’s first EP, “North”, was released in October 2013. It is available on both Spotify and iTunes. The hunting party were from brighton, uk, early to mid-80's... Another band named "The Hunting Party" appeared in Australia in the mid-90s. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
