The Horror Vacui is a four-piece endearing nightmare from Nashville, TN featuring Ted Fox (Guitars, Piano, Synth, Percussion) Kyle Kelly (Vocals, Guitars, Synth, Percussion) Rico Whitfield (Bass, Vocals) and Jonathan Parrish (Drums, Vocals.) The Horror Vacui formed, wrote and recorded their debut album throughout 2010. Immediately following its release the band won the Ditto Music Live Battle of the Bands, beating out 42 other established acts in Nashville. As part of their winnings, The Horror Vacui recorded their debut single ("Melete Thanatou: Single Edit") at OMNI Sound Studios in Nashville with renowned producer, mixer, engineer Derek Garten. The single is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon.com and 250 online stores worldwide (along with their full-length self-titled album). They will also in late 2011/early 2012 be receiving promotion in the UK as the featured artist on the website We7.com. THV has since played at the Clothing XChange's Save WRVU Benefit, Red Rooster Music Hall, Mercy Lounge, The Building, The Coup (Clarksville, TN), and has headlined at The Hard Rock Cafe (Downtown Nashville) and The Boro (Murfreesboro, TN). They are currently promoting their album via both various online methods and traditional avenues. They have been picked up for hard copy distribution by The Groove Used Records and The Clothing XChange.
