The Horizon Folds is an alternative indie band based out of Oklahoma City. Members Jamie and Mark grew up together, but both went their separate ways in college; Jamie to Belmont University in Nashville, then to SMU in Dallas before finishing at OU, while Mark went to Missouri to attend Drury University. The two started writing and recording together, sending tracks through email, eventually releasing their first disc in 2007 entitled 'the city below sleeps' which spawned their most well known song to date, 'December 22, Love'. The band recorded again in 2008 upon the return of Mark from a stint in London. In 2010, the band got together for a one-off performance, rekindling their love for their work, and plan to release new material in 2011. Two new songs, "Go On and Let It Out', and the christmas inspired 'What We Have Done' were released christmas day 2010 for limited free download on the bands website, the groups first sign of new music in nearly two years.
