Artist
The Hellers were a mid-’60s, L.A.-based collective of advertising singers, talkers and players led by media genius Hugh Heller. Among their highlights was "Creative Freakout: Advertising Protest Songs" (10-inch vinyl, 1967), sadly currently unavailable on CD or vinyl reissue. Intended as a promotional giveaway to potential and existing advertising clients, Creative freakout is a groovy two-sided trip involving orgies, crazy Mod threads and the avant garde. MOJO Magazine says: “Like a clash between Marshall McLuhan and Mike Sammes, Creative Freakout is a charming and very funny little record.” ...you can hear some of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvFUKDhcTPs&feature=player_embedded User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
