There are at least three bands/acts called The Hammer. 1) The Hammer was a very short-lived Dutch glam pop/rock band that. Fronted by Rob Vunderink (born Nijmegen, The Netherlands, 1950) they released just two singles, including the catchy 'Hitchcock's Lullaby' (1974), which somehow failed to chart at all. The band lip-synched to the tune on Dutch TV with their faces painted black-and-white: their three minutes of fame. Three band members, including Vunderink, established Diesel. With that band they released 'Sausalito Summernight', which charted in the United States and Canada. 2) A crust punk band from Hartford CT. Who took there name from the Motorhead song. It contains Opton (Oiltanker) and S@L (Ex-Suiciety) on Vox. Will (Hip Cops) And Shane (Oiltanker) On Gits. Paul (Oiltanker) on Bass. And Tim (OilTanker) on Drums. 3) Hardcore band from Gothenburg, Sweden. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
