More than one musical group call themselves “The Halloweenies”. The first instance is a zombie-core band from Transylvania. Not much is known by mortal beings about The Halloweenies apart from they only make their presence know once a year, that time being Halloween. In 2005 they appeared at a concert in Jersey (Great Britain) performing with Buck Brothers (BBC Article). The band’s songs tend to focus on zombies, pedophilia, and the two combined. The second instance is a noise rock/lo-fi band under the Two-Headed Records music label. Like most bands under the label The Halloweenies are from New Hampshire, US. Many of their songs have imagery and language derived from dystopian literature such as George Orwell’s 1984 (Miniplent, Minipax) as well as political/socio speech (Post-War Economic Breakdown, Putting the “US” back in Jesus).
