The Haden Triplets are American musicians Petra, Tanya and Rachel Haden (born 11 October 1971 in New York City, the triplet daughters of jazz double-bassist Charlie Haden). In 2014, they released their first vocal album together, The Haden Triplets, produced by Ry Cooder on Jack White's Third Man Records that features stripped-down, old-time country songs from the Carter Family, Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, Webb Pierce, Kitty Wells, and the Louvin Brothers. On January 13, 2015 they performed together at Charlie Haden's Memorial Concert in New York City's Town Hall. Separately and together, they have contributed to recordings and performances by the Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Beck, Green Day, Todd Rundgren, the Rentals, and Silversun Pickups. Petra and Rachel Haden are former members of That Dog. The three sisters performed together as The Fates on Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown. During their early life, they were surrounded by music on both sides of their family. They visited their father's family in Springfield, Missouri, where they were taught old country songs that used to be performed on the radio as The Haden Family. Their grandparents on their mother's side used to sing them to sleep with old Yiddish songs. Growing up, they often had music playing in the house, whether it be their mom playing Billie Holiday and Nina Simone records, or their father playing Keith Jarrett and Ornette Coleman in the living room. They met Ry Cooder when they played
