Europeans by origin, The Great Winter dwell in the Viking Metal scene with a strong influence of Germanic heritage and viking lore. The band has gone through several stages, starting in the early 2000's as a 4 piece band and finally settling as a two-man studio project spread out in Mexico and Canada. Current members are Manu Miguelez-Kuthy (guitars, bass, programming, vocals) and Rodrigo Miguelez-Kuthy (vocals). The band has produced 3 recordings, starting with The Great WInter (2007), the raw EP Dusk of the Gods (2007) and Fimbulwinter (2010).
