Bela Lugosi and Elvis Presley both died on New Orleans' bassist/vocalist/recovering archaeologist Stoo Odom's birthday. (This is true!) The GRAVES BROTHERS DELUXE, disembodied musical spirits from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, thus chose Odom eagerly when looking for host bodies to express themselves. Odom shares the current possessée duties with San Franciscans Willy the Mailman (guitar/sax) and Marco Villalobos (drums/vocals). Host bodies of the GRAVES BROTHERS DELUXE have put in time with THIN WHITE ROPE, the RESIDENTS, SUBARACHNOID SPACE, the STUMPGRINDERS, GRANDADDY, and the late NOEL REDDING (yeah, him). The Graves Brother's Deluxe new album, LIGHT, brings them into - ironically - darker territory than ever, but they don't stand around gazing at their black shoes and hearts. They ROCK! Watch out or they'll possess you, too! User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
