On a dark weeknight in early May of 2006, spinning and spitting in the wild blame-casting rage that inevitably follows a badly-botched gig, The Grasping 63rd went toe-to-toe with its musically-superior opening act and, regrettably, killed them with their own instruments. Thus armed with an inherited arsenal of inappropriately-expensive guitars and keyboards, the 63rd ditched its played-out set-list of droning clunkers and assumed the arguably less clueless repertoire that its victims seemed still to be singing even as their skulls bled brains into a Lower East Side gutter.
