about

The Glutton resides in Oslo, where four musicians from all over Norway have gathered to meet the need for very long songs and devious arrangements and twists. Four different personalities and musical backgrounds are reflected in a diverse and sometimes complex range of sounds. The band as it is today came together in the autumn of 2009, but Jonas and Erik has written songs and played together since 2005. The music draws inspiration from bands like The Mars Volta, Snøras, JR Ewing, King Crimson, 65 days of static, Jaga Jazzist and Ulver. The band themselves has somewhat loosely dubbed it post-prog. The band was initially not have vocals, but the need to expel sounds vocally when playing has gradually taken the form of simple texts and background melodies that blend into the overall sound.
