Until early 2007, Two New Zealand bands have been sharing the name 'the Gladeyes': one from Auckland, the other from Dunedin. The Auckland-based Gladeyes is an indie pop group, based around the songwriting of Jade Farley and Gwen Norcliffe. Visit The Gladeyes Official Site. The 'Dunedin' Gladeyes were a four-piece band fronted by singer/guitarist Chris Keogh. Originally known as 'Sifty Chris and the Gladeyes', they dropped the first part of the name perhaps to make it easier to say. Who knows? They have since changed their name to 'The Tweeks' as a direct response to this double-gladeyes debarkle.
